2014, let's do this!

Happy new year!

I hope fun was involved for ringing in the new year! I know I had fun. I watched an abomination of a movie. The movie is called Food Fight, starring voice actors such as Charlie sheen, Hilary Duff, and Wayne Brady. God, it was horrific! hahaha The animation was awful and the story...more like lack of a story!
ughhh but I had some good nom noms that day and there was some good company as well.

So this past year, 2013, has been a pretty eventful one. Like, probably the most eventful up to date. This year I traveled to Europe, my sister and brother graduated from college, got into yoga significantly, did the Insanity challenge during the summer, I graduated in December, got a job with a gallery but left rather quickly, got a design internship, finished my fourth marathon, started biking alot more, and met some new people. Crazy is a rather subtle way to describe my year, haha!

On to resolutions for the new year, 2014!

  • Get a new job by the end of January. Basically, I will be looking for a job non stop on January. I am just so ready to leave my part time food service jobs behind. That is old news...plus I have a degree now. I worked hard to get where I am at, and I don't want to settle.
  • Cook more often. This past year, I did start cooking more seriously, but not enough. I plan on purchasing more cookbooks~ I want to cook like 2-3 times a week from now on.
  • Eat healthier. I want to shop at Trader Joes more often since it is cheaper than HEB. Plus there produce is so much better. But I really need to eat less processed sweets and much more fruits. I have eaten much more fruit this year than any other year..but I am still not too good. Juicing and smoothies might be good to get into
  • Attend a yoga teacher training. Save up money for this. So far, I want to check out Sacred Root school on the eastside. I think this would be a great alternative.
  • Draw and paint much more often. Finish a painting a week, and draw at least once a day.
  • Purchase a ticket to CTN X and have my portfolio plus demo reel done by October
  • Read more! purchase books on yoga, food, just more information! I just need to inform myself of more and more things. I know I need to do more research on art projects and such.
